TATOC accreditation for Holiday Club Canarias

TATOC has announced that the five Holiday Club Canarias resorts have achieved TATOC resort accreditation.

The newly accredited resorts are Puerto Calma, Vista Amadores, Sol Amadores, Playa Amadores and Jardin Amadores - all are located on Gran Canaria.
The TATOC Resort Accreditation Programme was launched in 2008 as an independent award for resorts that meet the gold standard of holiday experience for guests and owners alike.
The aim of the programme is to give full recognition to resorts that are truly customer-driven in their approach to timeshare ownership and are willing to commit to all requirements of the association’s code of ethics.


TATOC announces strategic alliance with the NTOA

TATOC and U.S.-based The National Timeshare Owners Association have announced they have entered into a strategic alliance.

Started in 1997, The NTOA is the largest independent association serving the timeshare community in the United States.  Originally formed as the Maryland Timeshare Owners Association, the NTOA is focused on timeshare owners and the issues related to their vacation ownership. Kololi Beach Club becomes TATOC member resort

TATOC is delighted to announce that Kololi Beach Club in The Gambia has become the association’s first African-based resort member.

Kololi Beach Club is situated on a 24-acre beachfront site, overlooking endless beaches and the Atlantic Ocean. The 44 one- and two-bedroom villas are set in beautiful grounds and built to the highest specification.

The self-contained and air conditioned accommodation is luxuriously and beautifully furnished with a lounge, dining room, bedroom, bathroom and fully equipped kitchen. All villas have either a private terrace or balcony.

On-site amenities include a par-3 golf course (club rentals available), two swimming pools and a grocery shop. There are two bars, a pool bar and a restaurant that offers a wide choice of international and traditional cuisine. Visitors can enjoy a variety of African and European entertainment and a beauty salon offering a range of treatments. Kololi Beach Club is an Interval International premium resort.


FAB Property Spain becomes TATOC re-sale affiliate

TATOC is delighted to announce that new re-sale organisation FAB Property Spain has become a TATOC affiliate.

Recently launched and with offices in Marbella, FAB Property Spain specialises in the re-sale of Marriott Vacation Club (MVC) memberships and selected luxury brands in Europe. While the company makes it clear that it is not Marriott Vacation Club, all of the company's sales advisors have worked for Marriott and, as such, are fully trained on the product.

Together the FAB team sold over €4 million of MVC European membership in three years and was involved with the launch of Destination points. The team is now turning its attention to the re-sale market.


TATOC launches Ambassador Programme

TATOC is delighted to announce the launch of the TATOC Ambassador Programme and the appointment of Mike Ashton as chief Ambassador.

The Ambassador Programme, which was unveiled at the recent TATOC Conference, will play an important role in the realisation of the updated TATOC Five Year Plan.

In the Plan, TATOC announced its intentions to increase resort membership and company affiliation, identify new revenue streams and promote the activities of the Association to the wider industry.

It is believed that the Ambassador Programme is the most effective, efficient and resourceful way to undertake this.

TATOC’s executive chairman, Harry Taylor explained: “For the Ambassador Programme to be a success we looked for experienced professionals with extensive industry knowledge who regularly meet with other industry professionals and resort representatives. The objective for the Ambassadors is to promote TATOC, recruit new member resorts and affiliates and share all that TATOC does and plans to do.”

TATOC has launched Harry's Blog, the new way to follow what TATOC's executive chairman Harry Taylor is up to and find out what is happening at TATOC's head office.

There is so much going on at the moment with the new Five-Year Plan, TATOC Consumer Helpline, Sharetime magazine, our health check programme and the Ambassadors that it is difficult to keep everyone up to date. And we know that communication is key to success.


TATOC issues Five-Year Plan

TATOC issues updated Five-Year Plan.

When the first Five-Year Plan was launched in 2007 some doubted the goals were achievable and, at times, is looked like this would be the case.

But after a slow beginning the association gathered momentum and succeeded in doing what it set out to do.

At the recent TATOC conference, the latest Five-Year Plan was launched.

The plan addresses the challenges facing the timeshare industry from an ageing owner base, a difficult financial and marketing environment and the evolving requirements and expectations of today’s holidaymakers. TATOC is determined to work with others in the industry to address these issues.
