TATOC works closely with the police, the RDO, trading standards and the UK authorities to protect consumers from fraudulent activities.

Every month the site publishes a list of the companies that have been undertaking cold calling activities (listed on the homepage) and there is a master list for the year as well.

In this section, we bring to consumers' attention the companies that the police and authorities are particularly concerned about. For further information about any of these companies, if you have a consumer alert you would like TATOC to investigate and for advice if you feel you have been scammed, please contact Harry Taylor or the consumer helpline.



Consumer Alert: Sunline Advisory/Direct/International

Consumer alertIt has been brought to the attention of the TATOC Consumer Helpline that Sunline Advisory (also calling themselves Sunline Direct and Sunline International) is actively cold calling Diamond Resort owners offering rental weeks, the disposal of timeshare and a service to issue claims under the Consumer Credit Act, after the receipt of an upfront fee.

Diamond Resorts confirms the companies have no affiliation with them in any way.
The TATOC Consumer Helpline always recommends timeshare owners never to deal with cold callers, however plausible or appealing.

Consumer Alert: Direct Resorts

Consumer alertIt has been brought to the attention of the TATOC Consumer Helpline that a company called Direct Resorts is actively cold calling Diamond Resort owners offering discounted holidays and inferring this is their ‘entitlement' as they have been long-term, fee paying owners with Diamond.

They have also contacted owners from other timeshare resorts.

The TATOC Consumer Helpline always recommends never to deal with cold callers and has advised the Diamond legal department accordingly.

The TATOC Consumer Helpline always recommends never to deal with cold callers.

Consumer Alert: Timeshare Disposal Group

Consumer Alert Timeshare Disposal GroupIt has been brought to the attention of TATOC's Consumer Helpline that staff from the Timeshare Disposal Group are cold-calling Diamond Resort members in the U.K. They are informing members that the company is a TATOC affiliate and is the only re-sale organisation that TATOC works with.

TATOC would like to confirm that the Timeshare Disposal Group is NOT a TATOC affiliate and, as such, does not work with the company and cannot recommend their business or activities. We would suggest that owners proceed with the upmost caution.

Consumer Alert: Access Legal Services

Consumer Alert issued by TATOC for Access Legal ServicesIt has been brought to the attention of TATOC that Access Legal Services is cold calling timeshare owners with reports of calls made to Silverpoint members.

The cold callers offered to assist the timeshare owners to relinquish their ownership. A home-sit style presentation was part of the process.

TATOC urges all timeshare owners who receive a cold call from any company to proceed with extreme caution. No ownership or personal details are provided by the resorts, exchange companies or government bodies so please question how and why they have your information.

If you have been contacted, then please call the TATOC Consumer Helpline for assistance or contact your resort for confirmation of any inferred business relationships.
